oh hey i love this fabric. day two-hundred-forty

Poor Todd. Every time I visit his studio I spend quite some time intensely perusing his fabric shelves. A few visits back I saw this floral fabric and was like OHHHH is this new? And he replies.
Well is it planned for something then?
Well will you make me something?
How about a maxi skirt? I've wanted to try a maxi skirt.
(here i am like a little child jumping for joy)YES OMG OMG OMG OMG YESSSSSSS

And thats basically the run down of every visit. I run around acting all crazy and weird and there is poor Todd who was interrupted by me in the first place just smiling and acting all nice. But I do love his clothes and he knows he can experiment on me which is always fun for both of us (or so I think). And I always keep his commission jobs way full (hello white skinnies? chambray shirt? backpack? we haven't even found fabric for my crazy pants...omg poor Todd)

Anyway that is basically the extent of my excitement over new clothes. And let me tell you something though, it is really exciting to communicate with the person who designs and sews your clothes. To get to know this persons likes/interests and personal style. Cause it all seeps into the fabric as they are sewing their hearts away and I love knowing I am wearing something made by someone who loves what he does.

oh heyyyyy kick ass hot pink slit????? Yah freaking awesome. These are the little touches I love!!!!!!
